How to Navigate the SparkyMinis Dashboard and Workspace
Once you are logged in, everything happens inside your SparkyMinis workspace. This guide explains the interface so you can find what you need instantly.
The Workspace Layout
Your dashboard has three main zones:

| Left Sidebar | Main navigation — access every section of the app |
| Top Bar | Breadcrumbs, workspace switcher, notifications, and profile menu |
| Main Content Area | The active feature — changes based on what you navigate to |
The Sidebar: Your Navigation Map
The sidebar groups features into logical sections:
Dashboard
The home screen — shows a snapshot of your workspace:
- Recent activity across all sections
- Key numbers (revenue YTD, outstanding invoices, current trips, net worth)
- Quick-action buttons to create invoices, log expenses, or start a project
Business Suite
Everything for running your professional life:
- Contacts — clients, vendors, leads, team members
- Projects — track ongoing work with tasks, milestones, and time
- Expenses — log and categorise all business spending
- Invoices — create, send, and track payments
- Document Creator — professional proposals, contracts, and reports
- Reports & Taxes — P&L, cashflow, tax summaries
Lifestyle Suite
Your personal life, organised:
- Friends & Family — personal contacts directory
- Travel — trip planning, itinerary board, travel expenses
- Net Worth — assets, liabilities, and wealth tracking
Secure Vault
Your private digital storage:
- Files — all your uploaded files, aggregated from across the app
- Access & Teams — RBAC collaboration settings
Help & Support
- User Manual — this documentation
- Support Tickets — get help from the team
Settings
- Account — business profile, invoice defaults, tax settings, appearance
- Security & Privacy — AI data preferences, analytics opt-out, data export, account deletion
- Subscription — plan management and billing history
The Top Bar
The top navigation bar (above the main content) contains:

| Breadcrumb | Left side | Shows your current location (e.g., Business > Projects > "Project Name") |
| Workspace Name | Left side (shared workspaces) | Badge showing whose workspace you are in |
| Notifications | Right side | Alerts for invoice payments, overdue tasks, trip departures |
| Profile Avatar | Far right | Opens: My Account, Switch Workspace, Logout |
Switching Workspaces
If you have been invited to someone else's workspace:
- Click your Profile Avatar (top right).
- Click Switch Workspace.
- Select the workspace from the list.
The interface reloads showing that workspace's data within your permitted scope. Your own data is not affected.
Mobile Navigation
On mobile, the sidebar is hidden behind a hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner:
- Tap the hamburger icon to open the sidebar.
- Tap any section to navigate.
- Tap outside the sidebar or let it auto-close after navigation.
The mobile layout is fully functional — you can create invoices, log expenses, and manage trips entirely from your phone.
Dark Mode and Themes
To change appearance:
- Click the sun/moon icon in the top right corner for a quick dark/light toggle.
- For full theme selection (8 themes available), go to Settings > General Settings > Appearance.
Your theme preference is saved across devices.
